Description
|
CURTAIN aims to reduce cancer-related inequalities across Europe by improving cancer literacy at multiple levels: among citizens, patients, healthcare professionals, and organizations. CURTAIN will develop the first cancer-specific literacy tool for seven countries to guide literacy campaigns. It will also build the capacity of patients to navigate cancer care systems and technologies, focusing on vulnerable groups. Training for healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, will be developed, and Cancer Literacy Ambassadors will be selected to enhance communication between providers and patients. SHINE will contribute to CURTAIN by integratings its results into its ongoing advocacy, training, and capacity building programs. The educational resources developed during CURTAIN will be incorporated into SHINE’s Educational Hub, ensuring the sustainability of CURTAIN’s outcomes.
